STEPS FOR A GOOD MAKEUP ROUTINE
Moisturizer
Liquid foundation
Concealer
Foundation powder
Bronzer
Blush
Highlighter
Eyeshadow
Eyeliner
Mascara
Lipgloss/lipstick
Setting spray and powder
MOISTURIZER 🧴
Prepping your skin with high quality moisturizer is crucial. Here are the different types of moisturizers you can use for your skin.
Serums - Lightweight solutions that can easily be absorbed by the skin and moisturize it.
Lotions - It is advisable to opt for those that are labeled as non-comedogenic to prevent clogged pores.
Oils - If you are acne prone, avoid oil moisturizers.
Creams - For dry skin if extra help is needed.
LIQUID FOUNDATION
With liquid foundation, you need to find a perfect shade to use and make sure you have the right tools to use because if you mess up this part, you will ruin your entire routine.
CONCEALER
There are different types of concelers and these are liquid and stick concealers.
Liquid - for the times you want light coverage over a large area.
Stick - for heavier coverage on smaller more specific areas.
FOUNDATION POWDER
Use a large fluffy powder brush by dusting a light coat of powder all over your face. Do not apply too little or too much 😜
BRONZER
Gives your skin that kissed glow. If you are not used to bronzer, use one that is two shades darker than your skin. Apply starting at your forehead then down to the cheeks and all the way to the jawline and don't forget to blend it into your neck.
BLUSH
Different colors of blush are applied differently.
Pink blush - apply to the apples of your cheeks.
Plum blush - for medium to dark skin tones.
HIGHLIGHTER
Adds glam and glow to every makeup look. You can either use liquid, cream or powder.
Where to apply?
-Down the bridge of your nose
-Across the tops of your cheek bones
-On your brow bone
-Corners of your eyelids
-Center of your forehead and chin
EYESHADOW
First start with the lighter one then the darker one.
EYELINER
There are different types of eyeliners.
Gel liners - Gel liners are good for the cat-eye look.
Pencil eyeliner - This is the best eyeliner option for beginners. It is easy to use on your waterline and great for creating the smoky eye👁️.
MASCARA
Mascara is good and can make your eyes look brighter in a single step.
LIPSTICK 💄/ LIPGLOSS (As preferred)
It is always good to apply a lip liner first shaping out the cupid's bow, then all around the edges of your lip. You can then apply the lipstick or lipgloss. Make sure you don't apply over the natural lip lining. 👄👄💄💄.
SETTING SPRAY
To apply, hold bottle at least 8inches from your face then spritz lightly a few times to ensure all bits of your face are covered.
VOILA!!!
Your makeup look is complete ✅ 💯
